Manager II Marketing at Woonsocket

This position will be a key part of the Member Engagement Team (specifically, the Member Communications, Strategy & Development Team) with responsibility for driving behavior change among CVS Caremark PBM plan members through direct to member strategies and tactics.

Key responsibilities for this individual will be the strategic development of direct marketing strategies/tactics, along with project management/execution of these strategies and tactics. To support the direct to member program development, this individual will work with cross-functional internal partners to facilitate program development and ultimately, execution.

Secondary to strategy/tactical development and project/program management, this individual will also participate as a marketing thought leader in enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams in order to drive results and outcomes for PBM Members, PBM Clients and CVS Caremark Shareholders. Success metrics will primarily focus around driving members to take action and change behavior.

1. (50%) Member Engagement Strategy/Tactical Development -Development of direct to member strategies and tactics that will support and drive member engagement and behavior change thru various member facing programs. These strategies and tactics might include communicating to members through such channels as direct mail, email, call center, web, face to face, IVR, etc. The three key drivers for member facing communications supporting various member facing programs are (1) Clear communications that make things easy to understand (2) Articulating the value of change (eg, member savings $) and (3) Making it easy to facilitate behavior change. This individual will be expected to provide thought leadership on the programs within their responsibility. Examples may include: development of tactical testing scenarios, strategic development of tactics, input into potential consumer research / focus groups, etc.

2. (30%) Project / Program Management & Execution - The Member Engagement Manager II will serve as key project manager for a multitude of high level program(s). In particular, this employee will be responsible for maintaining the relationship between the Member Engagement Team and the Creative Agency, as well as internal CVS/Caremark business partners. This employee will also be responsible for partnering with internal and /or external account, production and advertising personnel on project management and execution regarding all aspects of the individual projects. This employee must have excellent project management as well as organizational and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

3. (20%) Measurement - Work closely with Consumer Engagement Analytics / Analytics & Outcomes team(s) to measure post-campaign results in a timely manner in order to inform future campaigns and provide input into future strategies/approaches.

1. Excellent project management as well as organizational and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
2. Proven direct marketing expertise within a top tier marketing-driven organization with experience across channels (eg, direct mail, email, telemarketing, face-to-face, direct response television, etc.).
3. Strong strategic thinking skills with an ability to develop plans/approaches with no existing roadmap.
4. Strong driver of results and proven track record of driving outcomes.
5. Superb relationship skills with proven ability to influence and persuade across the organization (with success in gaining followers).
6. Proven ability to lead large, complex cross-functional teams to deliver results and meet milestones.
7. Comfort with ambiguity and change.
8. Comfort and experience working with key business partners and team members who are off-site/virtual.
9. Commitment to work-life balance.
10. Expertise with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

PBM, clinical, healthcare and related industry experience a strong plus.
