Logistical Operations Supervisor at Woonsocket

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area(s) within the Distribution Center. This may include piece picking, replenishment, loading and shipping of store orders. Responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality within the department. Accountable for the training, coaching and development of non-exempt staff.

• Schedule and assign work to employees.
• Provide necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks.
• Determine proper staffing levels within functional area based on the volume and type of work to be completed daily.
• Maintain a balanced workload by taking readings throughout the day, and by readjusting the staffing levels, as necessary, to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion.
• Monitor the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded.
• Conduct employee meetings and verify daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
• Provide ongoing training/retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function.
• Possess the ability to utilize a variety or reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday.
• Administer policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
• Counsel employees for below standard performance, absenteeism or violations of company policy.
• Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources.
• Additional days and hours as necessary during peak times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager.

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
