About the Position
As an Purchasing Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing the warehouse portion of a unit operation. Specifically assisting the General Manager in establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for purchasing and receiving, inventory management, overseeing warehouse employees, and food/freezer storage. You will oversee a large warehouse volume. The Purchasing Warehouse Manager ensures that requirements for appropriate sanitation and safety levels in respective areas are met. Operating a forklift is required for this position. Conducts period inventory; performs other functions such as maintaining records to comply with ARAMARK, government and accrediting agency standards. The Manager is directly responsible for the management of the Commissary Warehouse, to include inventory, picking, packing and distribution of products to the inmate population based on an internal order system.

• Ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree in Institutions Management, Logistics or Supply Chan, Business Administration or other related field, plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
• The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is essential to success in this role.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management and ARAMARK support staff is essential to success in this role.
• Must be able to respond effectively to changing demands and have previous P&L accountability.
• Previous contract-managed service experience is desirable.
• DOT Certification is recommended.
• Previous Warehouse Management experience will attribute greatly to the success of the selected candidate.
