Job Classification: Direct Hire Job Summary: Perform a variety of drafting duties to produce finished assembly and detail drawings using computer aided drafting and drawing board. Develop bills of materials from engineers notes and rough sketches for standard and specialty pipe support products including all necessary information required to fabricate and install designed systems.Essential Functions:Time1.Perform all required calculation of support components including product size, type and compatibility based on engineering data, applicable codes, specifications and application.2.Prepare and draft all finished and detail drawings and isometrics required for shop fabrication utilizing graphic techniques when appropriate and, according current procedures, applicable codes and customer specifications.3.Process customer design needs to Anvil terminology for the purpose of fabrication and billing procedures.4.Develop accurate and concise bills of materials from engineers notes and sketches with all required information to fabricate and install designed product.5.Prepare all required documents and reports for projects including progress, financial and transmittal reports. Upon request, generate drawing copies and file and maintain drawings and documents.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Traits:-Associates Degree or equivalent in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Industrial Technology or other related field required.-Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in steel fabrication or related field.-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, must be proficient in AutoCAD or similar computer aided drafting programs, BPCS experience preferred.-Project management skills required.-Work hours typically 40-45 hours per week, with extended hours as necessary.
