Job Description

The 401(k) Pension Benefit Specialist processes new defined contribution plan applications received for distribution or rejection. Daily communication with plan participants and employers, via the telephone, in person and in writing is required. Duties are extremely diverse and must be capable of multi-tasking.

Calculate 401(k) plan pension applications for distribution or rejection

In person, telephone and written communication regarding the eligibility of applicants

Various clerical duties to maintain the order and efficiency of the department

Enter participant information accurately

Print reports

Send bi-weekly data files to investment company

Bank wire transfers

Print distribution checks

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of 401(k) plan rules 
• Math skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Analytical skills 
• Computer skills
• Fluent in Spanish a plus
