Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room Nurse - (OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 D, 8 E Pay Rate: $34.46 *

The mission of this Level I trauma center hospital is to be at the forefront of patient care by creating, applying and sharing the most advanced knowledge in health care. Work with specialized, state-of-the-art equipment includes lasers, laparoscopy (endoscopy video monitoring for multiple specialties and arthroscopy), rapid infusion sets, specialized monitoring for carotid and spinal surgery, the harmonic scalpel (developed and pioneered here), image intensifiers, and a heart/lung machine.

Experience in Level 1 trauma or equivalent facility. General Surgical experience and Ortho surgical experience.

The role of the perioperative nurse / operating room nurse (OR RN) is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery or surgical procedures. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional training. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.

1. RI or Compact state lic***
2. Scrub and Cir***

Preferred Qualifications
1.. Prior Level 1 OR experience.***

3. Previous Travel Experience
