Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  Responsibilities:

*  The Manager of Engineering / Product Development will be responsible for managing a team of developers while coding at least 60% of their time.

*  This person will provide the leadership and management necessary to deliver technology releases from inception to market using Agile methodology.

*  Partner with Product Management to communicate technology trade-offs and cost.

*  Be able to evaluate product development decisions that affect multiple business units and to communicate the technology roadmap.

*  Defining and documenting technical requirements for all major and minor releases.

*  Participate in client-facing calls and meetings as the technical expert.

*  Analyze, Develop, Design, Test, and Deliver major software components. Review, Repair, and Improve Existing Code.

*  Accountable for delivery of projects within schedules and timelines.

*  Lead by example in testing, code quality and code performance.

 
Requirements:

*  Experience leading full lifecycle of product releases from concept to large scale market adoption. Bonus points for previous startup experience.

*  Passion for Digital Marketing and web-based software platforms.

*  Experience leading agile development processes and bonus points for leading cross functional teams through the agile development process.

*  Bachelors degree (Masters preferred).

*  "Roll-up-your-sleeves" entrepreneurial, startup attitude.

*  Proven ability to effectively allocate resources, with budget and time constraints.

*  Requires 2-5 years experience of managing technology teams.

*  3-5 Years of Server-side Java Experience.

*  3-5 Years building web-based systems utilizing N-tier architectures.

*  Experience with multi-threaded programming techniques.

*   The ability to build and deliver scalable systems.

*  Experience with Tomcat, Spring, and Open Source Tools a plus.

*  Adapt to a quickly changing and fast-paced environment.
