Summary: Design robust tools for new products and provide solutions to process problems while facilitating continuous improvement of tooling and processes.

  • Generate tooling and fixture designs for new products.

  • Participate in design for manufacturability reviews and offer constructive comments for proactively avoiding problems or improving product designs to streamline manufacturing process.

  • Create process instructions for use of tools.

  • Conduct process evaluations, organize sampling and testing, etc to evaluate adequacy of tool designs and then implement into production.

  • Accept problems encountered in Manufacturing and drive permanent solutions.

  • Modify process instructions or tooling designs to incorporate process solutions and continuous improvements.



Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Autocad

  • Solidworks capability desirable

  • Experience in design and ability to analyze product and tooling problems where precise tooling and tight product tolerances are required.

  • Demonstrated ability to use a methodical approach for determining root cause of problems and analyzing possible solutions in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

  • Toolmaking and/or tool design background

  • Ability to interface with operators from various cultures and effectively utilize their input as part of problem solution and tool design process.

  • LEAN or Six-Sigma experience desirable

Landfill Gas Technician

Description:
The Gas Collection Supervisor operates, manages, and maintains Landfill Gas systems to collect gas used to generate electricity at a Landfill Gas (LFG) power generation facility. Also supports Environmental Protection Managers in responding to and resolving regulatory issues pertaining to LFG operations. The Gas Collection supervisor will implement training programs and policies related to Gas Collection Controls System (GCCS). Gas Collections Supervisor will manage daily operations of landfill gas recovery systems to federal and state requirements.Responsibilities:
Monitor and control gas landfill extraction systems.
Oversee gas collection landfill operations.
Monitor gas collection systems emissions data.
Ability to understand raw data.
Monitor landfill permit requirements for updates.
Operate computerized control panels to manage gas compression operations.
Collect and record significant information related to operations.
Trouble shoot problems with LFG collection systems.
Develop or enforce procedures for normal operation, start-up, or shut-down of methane gas collection systems.
Evaluate landfill gas collection service requirements to meet operational plans and productivity goals.
