We are a preferred direct vendor for a leading financial institution currently seeking a Senior BA with FX and WSS/ORD Expertise, for a Contract opportunity in Stamford, CT/Cranston, RI.

Summary:
Candidates must have experience with Wall Street Systems. The Market Risk Rule MRA project requires a Business Analyst to capture our client*s business requirement specifications for this effort and work with the developer to ensure extraction of the correct data element needed for the VaR (Value at Risk) modeling.

Ideally, this BA should have expert experience with the Wall Street Systems product set, specifically FX products and the Wall Street Open Reporting Database (ORD).

Resource can be remote but in person working sessions may be needed in either Stamford, CT or Rhode Island.

Responsibilities/Requirements:
The objective is to engage a Business Analyst to validate the high level requirements (previously supplied) into a formal business requirements document and to develop the specifications to effect the creation of necessary queries against the WSS ORD database.

The BRD results in a set of business requirements clearly identifying what the project needs to achieve. Toward that end a number of interactions (meeting, phone calls, etc.) with line of business representatives will be required to achieve a clear delineation of their requirements and obtain business signoff.

A solid understand of WSS/ORD and FX products will be required to perform the analysis and follow-on activities. Given the aforementioned high level requirements, production of the BRD should be relatively straightforward and quick. But accurately stated business requirements are insufficient for a developer to write code. The bulk of this engagement will likely be activity which will result in specifications that will be handed off to a developer to build the SQL queries that will extract the information needed daily by the system and working with the developer, the business to ensure the information extracted satisfies the compliance need. Another TSA team will be responsible for (and have been engaged) to develop the necessary transmissions to our client.

Specific skills include:
Crystal Reports, SQL, WSS, ORD

Activities will include:
- Analysis and validation of the high level requirements initially developed by client
- Writing the BRD, which will necessitate working with line of business colleagues to understand and clarify their requirements
- Development of technical specification for the developer, which would require an in-depth understanding of the WSS ORD
- Development/refinement of existing business processes to reconcile data extracted
- Partnering with the developer to ensure the queries match the business requirements
- Lead business and internal TSA testing teams through the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase of the solution

- Business requirements document
- Technical specifications including file layout, SQL data elements (tables, fields)
- Any needed business process documentation
- Test plan and test scripts
