Responsibilities:
· 24X7 On-call support [ May serve as on-call resource to support the organization’s service and escalation model ]
· Provides application support and acts as technical lead for problem resolution in area of expertise
· Analyzes diverse range of complex problems and identifies/takes corrective action
· Defines and recommends process improvement initiatives
· Participates in the development of tools used to facilitate operational procedures
· Provides technical expertise and assists in crisis management for major system outages or issues with major impact to the business.
· Consults with application support and development groups on application problems, new releases, new applications, systems infrastructure
· Reports, analyzes trends and communicates to customers and senior management information on application, systems and infrastructure functionality
· Evaluates design of existing systems of moderate complexity to assess their reliability, performance, usage, maintainability and cost of ownership
· Responsible for the maintenance of system diagrams and operational procedures
· Develops tools to automate the collection and analysis of operational data
· Responsible for the development of technical solutions of moderate complexity to support delivery of service requests (coding, tools development, script development)
· Participates in change review and FSDM reviews meetings
· Coordinates systems installation and configuration of systems installation and infrastructure changes
· May provide guidance and training to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations
· Responsible for developing RCA’s, SOP and break-point documentation.
· Actively participate in system design reviews and code review sessions.
· Ensure best practices in software development methodology are consistently followed.
· Strive to deliver high quality client service both in terms of technical excellence, high quality and timeliness.
· Able to effectively handle multiple deadlines in a demanding client driven environment.
· Ability to work with remote on-shore and off-shore teams
Skills and Knowledge:
· 5+ years of Oracle development hands on experience and strong Oracle development practices
· 5+ years of Unix hands on experience, Unix scripting: Korn Shell is preferred, Perl Scripting is a strong plus
· 5+ years of hands-on Informatica experience
· 5+ years of hands-on 24X7 support operations
· 5+ years of hands-on Data analysis, issue triaging and issue resolutions
· Excellent SQL skills: 5+ years minimum required including writing efficient SQL and SQL tuning
· Prior experience in Control-M preferred.
· Experience working in a large data warehouse environment
