Public Accountant seeking future Finance Manager position

Looking for career motivated Public Accountant seeking future Corporate or Divisional Finance Manager position. This position will begin as a General Accounting Analyst with a local $400 million dollar division of a multi billion dollar company. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day activities of the department. You will be exposed to all areas of the business and be on track for promotion to a Divisional Finance Manager role. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong leadership skills and are career motivated. The position will begin with, but not be limited to the following:o Assist in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and ensuring all accounting activities are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.o Assist in the budget process and reconciliation of Actual vs. Budget each month.o Prepare and key journal entries for month-end closing.o Prepare and analyze spending variances.o Analyze data for trends, patterns, or other useful insights for the use of management.o Assist in compiling monthly financial package to be used internally and sent to Corporate.o Assist in the preparation of year-end Corporate reporting requirements.o SOX 404 compliance, including testing of controls, and assisting in maintaining relevant documentation.o Special projects as assigned.Minimum Requirements:o Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. o CPA or MBA/CMA preferred.o Minimum of three years experience.o Strong PC skills including Excel and database applications.o Strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent organizational skillso Willingness to relocate in the future
