PHP Developer - LAMP, Linux, UNIX at Pawtucket

Kforce is seeking a PHP Developer for a Pawtucket, Rhode Island (RI) client. Join a fast growing web start-up in key role of PHP Developer that is focused on developing code for big data sets using NoSQL and Cassandra software.

Responsibilities:

• Help build functional requirements, technical design, and implement application features


• Participate in design and code reviews


• Participate in the AGILE process discussion and execution


• Mentor other developers


• Assist in feasibility analysis and estimation


• Communicate status and escalate issues

Development Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science is required


• 6+ years of experience in Web development


• 3+ with LAMP (Linux / UNIX, Apache, MySQL, and PHP)


• Experience with SVN and Memcached


• Experience with development against a NoSQL Database


• Experience using Bamboo, PHPUnit, and test-driven development


• Experience working with APIs in an SOA environment
