Group Guests Liaison at Providence

Position Overview

The Group Guests Liaison (GGL) solicits, sells, and coordinates reservations for resort sites and other amenities to maximize revenue, especially during non-peak times.  The GGL regularly prospects for new business, acts on opportunities to increase ancillary revenue, and promotes repeat business by providing world-class customer service.

Job Duties



  • Prospect for new business to schools, social groups, businesses, church groups, organizations, and other target markets within designated geographic region
  • Follow up with prospects on a regular basis to secure new business
  • Meet with prospects to conduct individualized needs assessments, generate proposals, and book reservations of RV resort site nights, building rentals, catering, activities, or store sales
  • Maximize the use of sites during non-peak times, such as shoulder months and weekdays
  • Maximize the ROI of property amenities to both existing and new customers
  • Obtain subsequent in-season reservations from individuals/groups exposed to a community as a result of participating in group events
  • Maintain intimate knowledge base of resort portfolio’s amenities, nearby attractions, and site/amenity availability
  • Consistently establish meaningful business relationships by effectively marketing individual properties, Sun RV Resorts, and oneself
  • Maintain regular contact and work closely with RV Resort Managers regarding sales opportunities for designated resorts
  • Other duties as assigned

     Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in property management, business, or other related field
  • Minimum 3 years hotel, hospitality, or event sales experience required with demonstrated ability to promote and sell products and services specific to the hospitality industry
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of hotel/resort operations
  • Ability to conduct personalized needs assessments and provide tailored proposals to meet prospect’s needs
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding defined sales goals
  • Experience working with or managing RV resorts preferred
  • Ability to coordinate all aspects of event/group arrangements necessary to ensure guest objectives and expectations are met
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to use computers including the internet, Microsoft Office suite, and online reservations systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel 80%+ of the time
